As cofounder and the former Media and Recruitment Director of Empowering Women in Law (EWIL) at Penn State, Rayna saw a need on campus for aspiring female lawyers. The Penn State chapter of EWIL was created as a gender inclusive organization focused on supporting and connecting with women interested in law-related career fields, specifically through networking and law school preparation.

As a Coordinator of the Women's Empowerment Roundtable (December 2020-July 2021), Rayna Alexander served women across the Penn State University Park campus by amplifying diverse female voices, advocating for women, and drafting student government legislation to fund and support female-lead initiatives.

In the spring of 2021, the roundtable facilitated a discussion with Penn State's Black Caucus about Intersectional Feminism and Womanism, as well as a conversation pertaining to period poverty at Penn State with Days for Girls.
