Rayna Alexander (B.A., M.A.) is a Middle East and sub-Saharan Africa policy specialist. Rayna has worked across the public and private sector including at the Foreign Policy Research Institute, the International Republican Institute, the U.S. Department of State, and the U.S. Agency for International Development. Her passion for geopolitics and international affairs stems from her global upbringing as the child of a military child.

As a scholar of Middle Eastern and African Affairs, I have had the privilege of visiting both regions to better enhance my understanding of the lived realities of Africans and Middle Easterners.
